Pakistani passport holders can travel to 33 countries visa-free or with visa-on-arrival access in 2026. While this is fewer than many other passports, several of the accessible destinations are genuinely world-class, and strategic use of visas can open up much of the world.
Visa-free access (no application required): Azerbaijan, Dominica, Haiti, Micronesia, Montserrat, Samoa, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Trinidad and Tobago, Vanuatu. These require only a valid passport and proof of sufficient funds.
Visa on arrival (obtain at airport/border): Cambodia ($30), Cape Verde, Comoros, Djibouti ($10), Guinea-Bissau, Iran, Laos ($30–35), Maldives (free, 30 days), Mauritania ($55), Mozambique ($80), Nepal ($25–40), Palau ($20), Rwanda ($50), Seychelles (free), Somalia, Sri Lanka ($35), Tanzania ($50), Timor-Leste ($30), Togo ($70), Uganda ($50).
eVisa available (apply online before travel): Bahrain ($30–100), Egypt ($25), Ethiopia ($80), India ($25–100), Indonesia (Bali and 9 airports, A$35), Malaysia ($50 for 30 days), Myanmar, Qatar ($30), Saudi Arabia ($80–600), Turkey ($60 for short stays), UAE (apply through sponsor or hotel).
Practical advice: the Maldives is the easiest bucket-list destination — free entry for 30 days, and one of the world's most beautiful places. Sri Lanka (eVisa, under $40) and Cambodia (visa on arrival, $30) offer excellent value. The UAE is accessible with a hotel or sponsor visa and is a strong hub for onward travel.
Visas worth applying for: a UK visitor visa opens Ireland (free movement) and gives significant credibility for future US and Schengen applications. A Japan visa is reusable for 3 or 5 years. A US B1/B2 visa typically allows visa-free access to Canada.
